Our U-12 BSB Hornets did it in grand fashion. Going 3-0-1 in the Orangevale Father’s Day Tournament ( u-12 bronco division ).
Tournament MVP Xavier Ibanez led the u-12 hornets to an out pouring of offense. (he went 9 for 13 2 hr, 4 doubles, triple and 15 rbi’s) our young men scored 47 times during the weekend and only allowed 11 runs. Pitching and defense were a key ingredient to capturing the title. Xavier Claudio, Forrest Kistner, Matt Ogihara, Sam Adams and Chris Lemke were also named to the all-tournament team. “I am so proud of our young men, they showed that even if you are on green or gold we can all come together and still play the same baseball we are supposed to play”- a very happy coach Von Nichols stated.
It was a great weekend and for the 18 young men who played in this last minute tournament, the staff here @ Best Speed is very, very proud of you. Keep pumping the pump gentlemen.
**Also we would like to welcome to our Best Speed staff coach Albert Carrillo, whose son Adrian also plays for our u-12 boys team! Welcome to the family coach and way to earn a 1st place finish in your first tournament with your new family!!!
